Position Overview

We are currently seeking incredibly dedicated and physically active commercial drivers for the role of Foodservice Route Driver. This is a highly physical, customer-facing position where you are directly responsible for unloading high-quality food products safely and accurately into customer kitchens and storerooms. This role allows you to build strong relationships with local culinary professionals while returning home every night.

Key Responsibilities and Physical Demands

  • Safe Route Navigation: Operate a commercial refrigerated straight truck or tractor-trailer across dense urban, suburban, and regional routes.
  • Extreme Material Handling: This is a "touch-freight" role. You will utilize a loading ramp and a commercial two-wheel hand truck to manually unload heavy cases of food, wheeling them directly into restaurant coolers and basements.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as the face of US Foods. You will interact directly with chefs and receiving managers, processing accurate invoices and ensuring complete customer satisfaction upon delivery.
  • Temperature Compliance: Monitor and maintain the separate temperature zones within your trailer to ensure all perishable items remain perfectly safe for public consumption.

Qualifications and Benefits

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) and a clean motor vehicle record. Exceptional physical strength and athletic endurance are required to repetitively lift 50-100 pounds.
